What are your services?
DGL Designs offers Full Service Florals for Weddings and other ‘Special Events’ in the Atlanta, Georgia metro region. Our services include rental candelabra, arbor, colonnade, Chuppah, pavilion, etc., fully establishing the 'look' of the event with Props and Florals (while not delving into catering, tents, chairs, etc.). Note that we are not a ‘rental service’; we offer quality rental items when our floral designs are purchased for your event. All work is Custom - one-of-a-kind, made-to-order. Every composition is Custom Matched to all aspects of your event: Setting, Style, Colors, and Budget.
Where are you located and what are your hours?
We have no storefront and are not a traditional ‘florist’. We work out of a spacious studio in a private home between Buckhead and Northlake off Briarcliff Road @ 2488 Sunset Drive NE, Atlanta, GA 30345 - CLICK HERE for a MAP. Unlike traditional florists, we do not keep our huge cooler filled with flowers growing old waiting for walk-in customers. Each stem is carefully selected just prior to arranging ensuring that you receive only the freshest flowers. Office Hours are 9am-6pm. In-person Consultation is by appointment only, generally Monday thru Wednesday 9am-6pm with the last appointment at 4:30pm. Most weekends - Thursday through Saturday - are not available for Consultation since we are heavily involved making every event special. What are your prices? How much do flowers cost? Do you offer any ‘packages’?
We do not have firm, specific pricing for any particular piece for many reasons. While flower pricing fluctuates with the season, the flowers chosen, the size of the bouquet or arrangement and the number of stems of any flower most affect pricing - each wedding is UNIQUE and has unique pricing. We do not give ‘ballpark figures’ - there are tremendous price differences between carnations and calla lilies, and one of us would end up disappointed! Note that many photographs in bridal magazines were produced with ‘unlimited budgets’ so it is always most helpful to have a budget for flowers in mind - we can then provide the Best Quality Designs within your budget. Premium Flowers include: Lily of-the-Valley, Peony, Calla and Mini Calla Lily, Stephanotis, Hydrangea, Viburnum, Orchids, French Tulip, Hybrid Lily (Stargazer), Gardenia
Mid-range Flowers include: Rose, Spray Rose, Ranunculus, Freesia, Bouvardia, Delphinium, Tulip (in season), Gerbera, Sunflower, Asiatic Lily, Hypericum Berry, Seeded Eucalyptus
Economical Flowers include: Alstroemeria, Stock, Carnation, Chrysanthemum, Daisy, Statice, Million Star Gypsophila (Baby’s Breath)
What do I need to do before our Consultation?
Have on hand information about your Bridal and Attendant Dress colors, Ceremony Site requirements or restrictions, and Reception Site specifics such as number of tables and their sizes. As you browse Bridal Magazines, tear out and keep photos of bouquets and arrangements that you like for use during the Consultation. Most important – have your budget set to assist us in providing you with the Best Quality Designs within that budget. Do you have any Brochures?
The web site you are viewing shows more than 1000 photos of OUR DESIGNS and is our ‘brochure’.
Do you offer Bouquet Preservation?
We do not preserve bouquets as flower preservation is a business of its own. However, we will gladly recommend a qualified preservationist to you.
What is a ‘Special Event’?
While not seeking to limit our services, many DGL jobs are ‘special events’ - Weddings and their associated functions, or Holiday Installations with towering trees and grand garlands. Any event can be ‘special’: - Weddings - Bouquets - Rehearsal Dinners - Corporate Parties - Private & Theme Parties - Centerpieces - Christmas Decorations - Door Wreaths - Altar Flowers - Silks - Permanents - Planters - Topiaries - Onsite Designs.
Where is the Order Page on your site?
There is no order page as we currently have no product made and waiting for direct sale on the Internet - each photo shown is from a past event - all our work is custom, one-of-a-kind, made-to-order. If you wish to have a piece created similar to one shown on our web site, please call 404.477.8899 and we will be happy to present a proposal to you.
Are your Permanent and Silk arrangements the same as those offered at my local Craft or Discount store?
Our products are superior Works of Art far surpassing anything available in craft or discount stores where you usually find import material from the Orient. We use wonderful quality materials available only to designers. We want to be upfront with you – with the influx of poor quality materials and cheap labor from the Orient, our prices do not compare with these imports. Our designs will last many years and are in fact a good buy in comparison.
